"Spend a Penny" is the Series L joker card; it is to be used by panellists in questions where the answer is lavatorial. The card is a large bronze picture of a penny.
Every episode is said to feature a question where the answer relates to a toilet; "Liblabble" does not have a lavatory-based question, presumably because that question was cut out of the XL edition.
